As many of you may know Chris was badly injured after being hit by a tree limb on January 3rd, 2014 and was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon NH.  He sustained severe injuries to his head and face, necessitating major reconstructive surgery and will likely require additional surgery in the future.  They will undoubtedly have major medical expenses that would be hard for any young family to burden and so we are hoping that as a community we can come together to help them with this unexpected tragedy.  We have already seen the love and support Chris and Caitlin have received from both near and far, and we are starting this campaign to help them handle the financial burden involved.  This will allow them to better focus on Chris’s healing and getting back to their normal routines as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your love and support of Chris and Caitlin – click here to go to the fundraiser page

Celebrate the end of the 2013 Farm Season

The Farmstand is wrapping up for 2013 with beautiful winter wreaths to bring winter cheer to your home or give as great holiday gifts. Come to the Farmstand to stock up your winter supply of onions, potatoes, rutabagas, squash, and fresh greenhouse greens for your salad. We have our delicious grass fed beef and farm raised pork available.

After the Farm Stand closes for the season – How about getting your local food by joining our Winter Community Supported Agriculture Program?  We have great winter greens grown in our greenhouses and an assortment of vegetables and local products from a variety of quality food producers in the area.

Stop by to check it all out. If you need suggestions for recipes or tips on how to cook something, just ask.

Make it a Localvore Thanksgiving with Harlow’s

The Farmstand has all your holiday needs, from the turkey, raised organically right here on the farm, to local and imported cheeses and crackers for cheese platters and appetizers. There are only a few turkeys left, so order yours soon.

Stock up on our own organic brussel sprouts, onions, potatoes, rutabagas, squash, pie pumpkins, and fresh greens for your salad. Organic yams and green bean will fill out your Thanksgiving menu. We even have local heavy cream to top your pie, made from our own pie pumpkins and squash, and local apples. Don’t forget the fresh herbs and our own sausage, great for the stuffing.

We have a beautiful selection of fruit—apples, pears, clementines, grapefruit, oranges, grapes, and cranberries, plus wonderful dried fruit such as figs, dates, mangoes, cherries.

As the Farm Stand is closing on the 15th of December – we encourage you to join our Harlow Farm Winter CSA. We are busy getting our greenhouses ready to supply our winter CSA members with fresh greens!   We will have kale, chard, spinach, baby greens, lettuce mix and more. Check out our CSA webpages and sign up today.
