Turkey Time

The Farm remains busy preparing for the close of 2013 with the final field harvests and the anticipation of the coming holidays. We still have frozen turkeys for your Thanksgiving. Come to the farm stand now to order yours.

We still have an array of winter squashes: butternut, acorn, some delicata and buttercup as well as  pie pumpkins. Our root crop did very well this year – with plenty of rutabagas, turnips, parsnips, beets, carrots, and celeriac..

  • As always, we have a wide selection of vegetables and fruits, organic and conventional.
  • Eggs, chicken, beef, and pork raised here on Harlow Farm are available.
  • We offer both organic and conventional dairy products–milk, cheeses, butter, and more.
  • Harlow Farm-made jams, pickles, chutney, and condiments, as well as our own frozen vegetables are available, along with beans, rice, nuts, olive oil, vinegar, spices, and a selection of other fine staples.
  • Snacks? of course – We have them—cold drinks, chips, dried fruit, nuts, and more.

In addition to the wide variety of produce and grocery items at the Farm Stand, we are attending the first Winter Market in Bellows Falls of 2013-2014 Season.  We will be inside the train station from 4-7PM. Markets will continue throughout the winter on the third Friday of each month now through March.

As the Farm Stand is closing on the 15th of December – we encourage you to join our Harlow Farm Winter CSA. We are busy getting our greenhouses ready to supply our winter CSA members with fresh greens!   We will have kale, chard, spinach, baby greens, lettuce mix and more. Check out our CSA webpages and sign up today.

Welcome to Harlow Farmstand’s 23rd year! We had a peaceful and happy winter, and a successful second year of our Winter CSA—thanks to all who joined us.

Spring came along right on time this year, and our hanging baskets, bedding plants and vegetable starts look fabulous. We’re picking our own asparagus now, as well as greens from our high-tunnel greenhouses and from local farms such as Old Athens Farm.
