T-Shirt Fundraiser
Thanks to our generous community, we sold out of our first round of 100 short-sleeve T-shirts and have launched part two of our Post-Irene Fundraiser, offering long sleeve T-shirts and hoodie sweatshirts. Proceeds from the sale of these items offset losses from the significant flooding (following Tropical Storm Irene) which destroyed much of our high value fall crops.*
Now that our farmstand is closed for the winter, fundraising items can be purchased locally at the Village Square Booksellers, in Bellows Falls, or through emailing us at e3z@myfairpoint.net.
Alternative Earth brand, unisex style, Poly / cotton/ rayon blend, Long Sleeve T-shirts are $30 each, and come in light grey or charcoal grey, S-XL. (Charcoal grey smalls are sold out).
Black, 9 oz., Hoodie Sweatshirts, made by Econscious brand, 80% organic cotton / 20% recycled polyester, S-XL, are $50 each. There is a small selection available of colored crew neck sweatshirts for $30 each. Ask for more details if you are interested.
Locals, they will be at the Village Square Booksellers! We’re happy to mail items to you for a $5 S&H fee.
Our Thanks! goes to designer Katie Noyes for donating the clean, catchy design of the beet with “Vermont farms” on it. We are happy to offer an appealing graphic that celebrates the “being and doing” of our working landscape, enjoyed by locals, as well as visitors to Vermont. This design will become available to the Vermont Farm Disaster Relief Fund to support fundraising for other Vermont farmers, in their time of need, in the future.
*We are very grateful for extremely helpful loans and grants supplied to us through the Vermont Farm Disaster Relief Fund (created in response to the Tropical Storm Irene natural disaster and supported by the Vermont Agency of Agriculture), the Vermont Community Foundation and many fundraising efforts around the state. Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont’s Farmer Emergency Fund (this fund also created in response to this storm), and the Vermont Farm Fund.
